Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous 2023
From 7th-9th December 2023, Asia’s most prestigious yachting event, hosted by Kata Rocks, returns to Phuket. An eclectic mix of exclusive culinary offerings, entertainment and yacht experiences; a relaxed event that also facilitates a few fantastic days on the water. The event culminates in a themed closing party at Kata Rocks to cement relationships and create memories.
Phuket, Thailand 08 November, 2023 – The Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous 2023 (KRSR) proudly announces its eighth annual event on the 7th to the 9th of December 2023. An exclusive ‘invitation only’ 3-day program including luxury tastings, the traditional fleet cruise, yacht hopping, plus a fantastic themed closing party. This year on the final day, KRSR incorporates the Kata Rocks Poker Run (KRPR), now in its fourth year, followed by our now infamous themed closing party. The KRPR is open to everyone to join and is a boat rally around the island of Phuket, during which participants pick up a playing card at five locations on the way. Final stop is at Kata Rocks, where the winner with the best poker hand will be announced at a luxury BBQ and Buffet for all participants.
Infinite Luxury and Kata Rocks have organized the KRSR now for eight consecutive years. Richard Pope said, “Phuket has bounced back from the pandemic years faster than anyone anticipated, and we look forward to welcoming old and new faces to what is our premier event of the Kata Rocks calendar. This years 80’s theme will be a familiar one for everyone and a chance to relive those classic music and film years. So, bring your leg warmers and help us celebrate our 8th year of the Kata Rocks Superyacht Rendezvous.”
As per tradition, the first day of the KRSR is all about welcoming the guests with their yachts who can then familiarize themselves with Kata Rocks. They will be able to freely use the Kata Rocks facilities: main pool, fitness center and the Infinite Luxury Spa. The day continues with luxury tastings and a Partner BBQ for the yacht owners, partners and invited VIP guests.
The fleet cruise will set sail on the second day of the KRSR. From Kata Rocks, the yachts commence their northern tour along the west coast of Phuket followed by a spectacular lunch at a luxury Beach Club, before returning to the boats and then back to Kata Rocks. There will then be a chance to unwind and take in the sunset views with an exquisite cocktail followed by á la carte evening dinner in The Clubhouse, open to all.
The third day starts with the Kata Rocks Poker Run morning breakfast and briefing, with boats leaving Kata Rocks at 9AM. Boats return in the early afternoon for a prize giving and a chance to sample our latest food offering provided by our KR Hangout ‘Pop-up’, serving traditional beigels and exquisite cakes. The early return allows time for those who choose to, return their boats and prepare for the evening closing party. The now legendary KRSR Closing Party is in its eighth year with an 80’s themed dress code. Expect to see classic movie backdrops and characters from E.T., Back To The Future and Top Gun. Rub shoulders with Phuket’s version of Michael Jackson, Madonna, George Michael, Freddie Mercury, Boy George and Tina Turner. Choose your favourite icon from film or music, or simply choose your tribe of the time, whether its new romantic, rock, acid house or hip hop, in the words of Dr Dre, when he stepped ‘Straight Outta Compton’ – “express yourself”.
Throughout the event our pool and the sea off Kata Rocks (accessed via our pontoon) will be used for water based fun activities: Big Boys Toys and a chance to inspect some of the yachts at close hand during the ‘Yacht Hop’.
Once again we welcome the prestigious Italian yacht builder, Benetti, who will be hosting an exclusive wine tasting event to showcase four new projects to the brokerage industry experts. We also extend our warm welcome to our loyal supporters and participants, whose continued support has been instrumental in making this event the success it is today.
